Gubbio – 15th May 2019.

This is an Ancient traditional feast celebrated on May 15th every year, the eve of St. Ubaldo’s Day. The candles consist of three huge octagonal wooden constructions approx 7 meters high, each surmounted by a statue of a patron saint. It usually starts  at 6pm from the Church of Santa Maria Nuova in the Basilica of St. Ubaldo, about 4km long. The winner is not the team arriving first, but the one that shows more skills

Gubbio, in the roman age had, the name of Ikuvium, it was an important communication route between the Tirreno sea and the Adricatic sea.
